Quick and simple DIY piece. I felt like our entry needed a little pop for fall. Easy to layer with other pieces like oversized frames, mirrors and any other complimentary art pieces. Always great to use candle tapers, a vase with seasonal foliage and some stacked books with pumpkins to finish it off.
I picked up the wood piece from Hobby Lobby, along with craft acrylic paint. I decided to do three colors with three different sizes of sponge brushes.
I began with a ruler to gauge the first vertical line and then continued freehanded for the rest. I let dry for about 15 minutes and painted the horizontal lines. I am happy with how it turned out and something different for fall!
